Addiction

So yesterday, I was soooooo tired! I napped forever and then fell asleep on the couch. I didn’t know was was wrong with me. Then I see the husband drinking a cherry coke zero and I figured it out.  I didn’t have any caffeine yesterday.  I usually have 1-2 cups of coffee a day.  I had a headache and was so tired.

So this morning I fixed that.  I have a cup of hazelnut coffee and felt so much better.  No nap, no headache.  That is a problem! I need to wean myself off of coffee!! I don’t drink soda that much, so I don’t have a big addiction, but I do like some strong coffee!

Speaking of calories, my sister introduced me to My Fitness Pal to track my food and calories. So easy! Check it out! It tells you how many calories you need to lose weight and helps you reach your goal.  I am going to use this now!

Victoria’s Secret started their semi-annual sale today. I got 2 bras and 3 pairs of undies.  I just can’t buy $50 bras.  I’d rather get them on sale!

We ate in the food court.  The husband got Chick-fil-a and I got subway.

Sweet Summertime

Today was super relaxing.  I went to a RPM class at 8:30 this morning with my friend Shelby.  It was tough!  I was out of breath for a lot of it, but was told “if you are out of breath, you are not out of shape, you are working hard” so that made me feel better.

Before the gym I was starving so I ate a half of a sandwich thin and some super chunky pb.

Tonight was penne pasta with tomato basil marinara sauce (I had to make alfredo for the husband since he doesn’t like “red sauce”).  I made salads with a lettuce mix, blue cheese and I had fat free balsamic vinaigrette, and the husband had ranch (picky much?).  Anyway…

I then went to Body Pump.  Surprisingly, my dinner didn’t feel like a rock in my stomach! The squat track was super hard tonight.  My quads are still burning!

Before dinner, around 3, I had a cup of red pitted cherries.  Eating them like this is easy because you can put the stem and pit back in the cup.

Notice that I do not subtract the amount of calories I burn during class from my calorie intake.  It just makes me aware of it.  It also makes me feel like I can have treats because I worked out.  Not because “I deserve it,” but because I burned calories and can eat more calories.  I hate when people get into the “I deserve it” mindset.  It gets you into trouble.  You shouldn’t eat like a pig because you think you “deserve it” after working out, but you can eat portioned treats and enjoy yourself without guilt.

For breakfast this morning we went to Cracker Barrel.  I got the french toast (make it wheat!) and ate half.

The Daily Plate.com said that this has 520 calories for the white bread.  I got wheat, so I know it is lower in calories.

We didn’t eat anything until dinner.  We went to mexican at La Cocina.

I got a bean burrito and a chicken soft taco that I only ate half because it had oil dripping from it-it grossed me out!

Muffin Top

Today was a lot better.  This dreary weather still kills me, but I think I am over my bad mood.  Work was good today.  We went shopping after work to the school supplies store and took too long! Before I knew it, it was 6 and closing time for them.

My stomach knew it was time to go home.  It was growling like no one’s business.  So tonight was definitely take out night.  It’s usually Thursdays, but I go home so late I switched it this week.  I got gas on the way home and some Taco Bell. 

I got a Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft taco and a fresco crunchy taco.

I have been feeling pretty full lately and not eating a lot of calories.  I think it’s the weather and my congested chest.  I have got to eat more because I am working out so much! Fightin’ the Funk

Dude.  I was in a badddd mood today.  I swear this rainy weather has put me in a funk.  It has been raining since Friday on and off.  More on than off.  I am over it.  I am thankful that it is helping my plants, but geez. 

Back up to last night.  I had a chocolate covered strawberry from the husband’s grandma.  It had a lot of condensation from the refrigerator so I only had one.  It takes a lot for me not to eat more than one chocolate anything, so it had to be just meh for me to stop.  If you don’t like it, why eat it?  It’s a waste of calories!

On to today.  It was definitely a two cup of coffee kind of day.  It still didn’t pull me out of my funk. Hopefully I’ll be in a better mood tomorrow.

Like the nail color?  I painted them during the recap of LOST last night.  It’s OPI Cajun Shrimp.  Very summery.

This morning I woke up with a little chest congestion so I chugged some Amazing Grass before Body Pump.  Soymilk is a lot less heavy on your stomach than regular milk so I went for it.  Normally I wouldn’t have something like soymilk before a gym class, but Amazing Grass is best mixed with it.  It’s all for an immune system boost right?

Dinner was a whatever kind of night. The husband had a totino’s pizza and I made a sandwich.  My parents brought me this big tomato from a farmer’s market on their way to visit us.

I ate one of these chips with some homemade salsa.  The salsa was mushy after a few days and I threw it out.  Yuck. I only ate one chip.
